Two Against Three in D

Left hand plays D chord quarter note pulse (1-2-3, 1-2-3). Right hand picks individual notes from D major pentatonic in groups of 2 (D-E, F#-A, B-D). The patterns overlap and realign every 6 beats. Practice at 80 BPM with a metronome.

Tip: Polyrhythms sound complex but they're just two simple patterns running simultaneously. Don't think about where they meet - just play each pattern correctly.
