In position 2, bend the G note (10th fret, 2nd string) up to A, then slide down to F# and resolve to D. The bend should last exactly 2 beats. Connect this with straight notes to create an 8-beat phrase that sounds vocal.
Tip: Bends are the guitar's version of vocal vibrato. Use them to add emotion, not just technique.
