Play a 4-note phrase in Db major pentatonic, then pause for exactly 2 beats of silence. Start each phrase on a different string. Focus on Db, F, Ab, Bb, Db notes. Make each phrase sound like you're taking a breath between them.
Tip: Great melodies breathe. The silence is as important as the notes - it's where the emotion lives.
