Before playing any chord tone, play its anticipation (the note one semitone below). So F# before G, D before Eb, B before C, G before Ab. Create flowing lines where every strong beat hits the anticipated chord tone, not the anticipation itself.
Tip: Anticipations create forward motion. Your ear expects resolution, making the actual chord tone hit harder.
