Over DbMaj7, superimpose F major triad (creating DbMaj7#11 sound). Play Db bass note, then F triad (F-A-C) in upper register. Move to Gb7 with D major triad over Gb bass (Gb7#11). Practice switching between the bass notes and upper structure triads.
Tip: Upper structure triads create rich harmony by stacking simple triads over different bass notes - think vertically, not horizontally.
