mediumChromatic Approach Targets
Over C-F-G-C, target the 3rd of each chord with chromatic approach. Reach E (3rd of C) from Eb below. Target A (3rd of F) from G# below. Approach B (3rd of G) from Bb below. Return to E from F above. Use quarter note timing.
Tip: Chromatic approaches add jazz sophistication instantly. The tension of the 'wrong' note makes the target note sing.
