Start with a 3-note motif using B-D-F# (1-b3-5 of B minor). Create 5 variations: invert it, sequence it up a 3rd, double its rhythm, add one passing tone, then combine two variations. Each variation should be 4 beats, building a melodic chain.
Tip: Great composers develop small ideas into big statements. One seed can grow into an entire musical garden.
