In B Dorian mode (B-C#-D-E-F#-G-A), create melodies using only steps (no jumps). Tell a musical story in three chapters: 8 beats rising, 8 beats at the peak, 8 beats descending home to B. Focus on smooth voice leading.
Tip: The most memorable melodies often move step by step. Think 'Amazing Grace' not 'Flight of the Bumblebee.'
