Poly-rhythm Chord Tone Mapping

Play D-A-Bm-G in 4/4 time, but accent chord tones in groups of 3 (triplet feel against straight quarter note chord changes). Land on different chord tones each cycle: roots, then thirds, then fifths, then sevenths. Practice until both rhythms feel natural simultaneously.

Tip: Polyrhythms reveal new note relationships. The same notes sound different when their rhythmic emphasis changes.
