Play 6-8 note phrases in E minor pentatonic, but leave exactly 1 beat of silence after every phrase. The silence should feel natural, like taking a breath. Vary phrase lengths but keep the breath consistent. Focus on positions 1-3.
Tip: Singers must breathe, so vocal melodies have natural break points. Your guitar phrases should honor these same breathing spaces.
