Play C pentatonic in steady eighths, but accent beat 1, then beat 1.5, then beat 2, then beat 2.5, rotating every 4 measures. The accented note should pop out like a snare hit. 140 BPM.
Tip: Your accent is your drum kit. The same phrase becomes funk, rock, or jazz based on where you lean.
