hardPolyrhythmic Position Shifts
Play a simple C major phrase in 4/4 time while shifting positions every 3 beats, creating a 3-against-4 polyrhythm. Position 1 for 3 beats, position 5 for 3 beats, position 8 for 3 beats, etc. Maintain the 4/4 time signature throughout.
Tip: When time and position changes are independent, you develop true fretboard freedom. Your hands learn to think separately from your harmonic brain.
