Play Gmaj7-Em7-Am7-D7 using different inversions of each chord. Gmaj7 in root position, Em7 in 1st inversion (G bass), Am7 in 2nd inversion (E bass), D7 in 3rd inversion (C bass). Connect with stepwise motion between closest chord tones.
Tip: Inversions let you stay in one neck area. The bass note changes but your hand barely moves.
