🎯Target Tones
hardMultiple Target Weaving
In position 1 and 2, create phrases that hit E (root), then G# (third), then B (fifth) within each measure, but vary which beat each target lands on. Measure 1: targets on beats 1,2,3. Measure 2: targets on beats 2,3,4. Continue shifting the pattern.
Tip: Rhythmic displacement of targets creates sophisticated phrasing. The chord tones stay the same, but they feel fresh.
