Contrary Motion D Scale

Play ascending D major scale on the low strings (6th and 5th) while simultaneously playing descending D major scale on high strings (2nd and 1st). Both hands move in opposite directions, meeting in the middle register.

Tip: Contrary motion creates internal movement that sounds complex but follows simple logic. Bach used this constantly.
