Play any pentatonic phrase in position 1, but every 4th beat must land on an A note. Start each phrase from a different string. Use only quarter notes. Practice 8 phrases total, mapping where all the A notes live in this position.
Tip: The root is your home base. Know every A note in the position like you know your own address.
