Play E major-B7-E progression, then replace B7 with F7 (tritone sub). Navigate E to F7 to E using chromatic voice leading - find the smoothest way to voice each F7 chord tone from your E major ending points. Practice both progressions back-to-back to hear the difference.
Tip: Tritone substitutions work because they share the same guide tones but approach them from opposite directions.
