Play a 3-note call in low Bb pentatonic (position 1), then answer with the same rhythm pattern one octave higher (position 3). The call should end with a question (rising), the response with resolution (falling to Bb). Practice over a 12-bar feel.
Tip: Octave displacement creates dramatic tension. The same idea sounds completely different in different registers.
