Target D (major third of Bb) using approach notes: C from below, Eb from above. Play C-D or Eb-D patterns with varied rhythms. Each D should sound 'arrived at' rather than passed through. Practice chromatic (Db-D) and diatonic approaches.
Tip: Approach notes create expectation. The stronger the approach, the more satisfying the arrival.
