Connect Ab major to Db major using chromatic passing tones between chord tones. Start on Ab, play C-C#-D (connecting to Db). Then Eb-E-F (connecting to F in Db). Create smooth 8th note lines that outline both chords.
Tip: Chromatic notes are the oil between the gears. They make mechanical chord changes sound musical and flowing.
