🎯Target Tones
hardPolyrhythm Chord Tone Cycle
Play in 4/4 time. Your picking hand plays steady eighth notes, but your chord tone targets happen in groups of 3: F#(1), A#(2), C#(3), F#(1), A#(2), C#(3). This creates a 3-against-2 polyrhythm. Fill between targets with pentatonic notes. Continue for 16 bars.
Tip: Polyrhythms create sophisticated tension. Don't rush the math - let the conflict between 3 and 4 create the magic.
