For the progression Db-Ab7-Db, replace Ab7 with its tritone substitute D7. Connect Db chord tones to D7 (D-F#-A-C) and back to Db using chromatic voice leading. The F# in D7 should resolve to Gb(F#) in Db, creating smooth chromatic motion.
Tip: Tritone subs work because they share the same guide tones but approach resolution from a different angle.
