hardChord Tone Rhythm Displacement
Play phrases where chord tones (A, C#, E) land on syncopated beats: the 'and' of 1, beat 2, the 'and' of 3. Use positions 2-3, 12 beats per phrase. The challenge is maintaining the syncopated target timing while flowing between positions. Practice with a metronome.
Tip: Advanced rhythm placement of chord tones creates sophisticated phrasing. You're not just playing the right notes, you're placing them in interesting time.
