Over C-F-Am-G, play each chord's root note on the low E string (C-8th fret, F-1st fret, A-5th fret, G-3rd fret). Add only the 5th above each root on the A string. Hold each chord for 4 beats, focusing on the harmonic foundation.
Tip: Strong roots create confident chord changes. You can't get lost if you know where home is.
