🔄Chord Changes
hardPolyrhythmic Chord Tone Sequences
Over a slow F-Bb-Gm-C progression, play chord tones in groups of 3 against the 4/4 time signature. Each chord gets 4 beats, but your arpeggio notes fall on beats 1, 2.33, 3.66, 5, etc. This creates shifting emphasis across the chord changes.
Tip: Polyrhythms make familiar chord changes sound fresh. Your ears will find new relationships between the harmony and time.
