hard7/8 Db Melody
Create an 8-note Db pentatonic phrase but play it in 7/8 time (7 eighth notes per bar). The phrase will shift against the barline each repetition. Count in 7 and let the melody create its own logic separate from common time.
Tip: Odd meters force you to think in phrases, not beats. Let the melody breathe in its own mathematical space.
