Start playing eighth note triplets in A pentatonic at 90 BPM for 4 bars. Then switch to straight sixteenths for 4 bars, keeping the same hand speed. The tempo effectively changes from 90 to 135 BPM. Maintain the same physical motion throughout.
Tip: Your hands know one speed - your brain decides how to divide it. Trust your muscle memory over your math.
