Start with Dm triad (D-F-A) on strings 4-3-2. Move to F major by keeping the F note in place and moving D up to F (octave) and A down to A. Practice this motion slowly, hearing how voices move by the smallest distances.
Tip: Voice leading means each note finds its closest destination in the next chord.
