Play phrases that move mostly by steps (F-G-A-Bb-C) but include one leap of a 4th or 5th per phrase. Each phrase should form a clear 'curve' - either ascending then descending, or descending then ascending. End every phrase on F or C.
Tip: Stepwise motion feels like walking, leaps feel like jumping. One leap per phrase gives just enough surprise.
