Create phrases where every other note is a bend targeting chord tones of E major (E, G#, B). Start each phrase on an unbent note, bend the second note up a half or whole step, then resolve. Use mixed rhythms but keep phrases singable.
Tip: Bends add human expression that straight frets can't. Think of how a singer slides between notes - your bends should have that same intentional curve.
