Connect BbMaj7 to Gm7 using bebop approach: play Bb chord tone, add chromatic passing tone, land on Gm chord tone. Example: F(Bb 5th) - Gb(chromatic) - G(Gm root). Practice all chord tone combinations with chromatic connectors.
Tip: Bebop players used chromatics to land chord tones on strong beats. The 'wrong' note makes the right note sound more right.
